Thomas Markle Sr., the estranged father of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is reportedly being investigated after his son allegedly uncovered a huge collection of child sexual abuse images among his belongings in the Philippines.
According to The Sun, Thomas Markle Jr., 60, stumbled upon the material while searching for a phone. He reportedly alerted authorities after discovering dist¥rbing videos, photographs and files on storage devices.
“When I found this material I was h%rrified and I had no option but to report my dad,” he said.
Thomas Jr. added that years of caring for and supporting his father would no longer continue, declaring, “I won’t speak to my father ever again unless I’m called to give evidence against him.”
He reportedly contacted the FBI, Pennsylvania state police and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Further examinations of three hard drives allegedly uncovered additional material.
Describing his reaction, Thomas Jr. reportedly told a friend, “What I saw made me sick to the stomach all this stuff was just dumped on me and I didn’t know what to do.”
An insider close to Meghan told the outlet, “Now maybe people will finally understand why she has had nothing to do with her father since 2018.”
Authorities in the Philippines are reportedly preparing to take possession of the alleged evidence for forensic examination, while a task force involving the country’s anti-trafficking and women and children protection agencies has reportedly been established. The FBI is also said to have acknowledged receiving Thomas Jr.’s affidavit.
Meanwhile, Thomas Sr.’s daughter, Samantha Markle, has defended him, claiming her brother wants revenge. Neither Thomas Sr. nor Thomas Jr. immediately responded to Page Six’s requests for comment, while representatives for Meghan and Prince Harry also reportedly did not respond.
Thomas Sr., 82, is reportedly receiving care at a Florida rehabilitation facility after suffering a stroke and undergoing the amputation of his left leg.
