American rapper Cardi B has added more fuel to the growing dating rumours surrounding her and Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, admitting that she hopes fans will get to see more of the footballer.
The rapper, who recently appeared on the cover of Vogue Arabia, opened up about her music, motherhood and life after divorce. Naturally, her recent outings with Okoye also became a talking point.
Rumours about the pair began making rounds after they were spotted together at Paris Fashion Week in July. Okoye was seen helping Cardi get settled before taking a seat beside her during the fashion show, a moment that quickly caught the attention of fans and the media.
The two were later spotted having dinner with friends at Gio’s restaurant inside The St. Regis Venice. Although there was no obvious display of affection, the pair reportedly looked comfortable around each other, leaving fans wondering if there was more than friendship between them.
Speaking about the 27-year-old Udinese goalkeeper, Cardi had nothing but kind words. She described Okoye as “really sweet” and “very kind”, adding that his personality away from social media is quite different from the serious image he sometimes portrays online.
Asked whether fans should expect to see more of the Nigerian footballer, Cardi reportedly responded with a giggle: “I hope so.”And just like that, the dating rumours got another dose of fuel.
Neither Cardi B nor Okoye has officially confirmed that they are dating, but the rapper’s comments have certainly left fans with plenty to talk about. For now, it appears the two are enjoying each other’s company, while everyone else watches to see what happens next.
