Fresh details have emerged on the operation that led to the rescue of the abducted victims in Oyo State.
According to reports, security operatives identified some of the suspected kidnappers, traced their relatives and brought them in for questioning. The strategy reportedly increased pressure on the kidnappers and played a significant role in securing the victims’ release.The operation was said to have been coordinated by the Chief of Defence Staff, with personnel from the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Navy and the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) working together in a joint security mission.
