President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) have expressed sadness over the death of The Eagle Online Publisher, Dotun Oladipo.
The death of the veteran journalist and media entrepreneur has sent shockwaves through Nigeria’s media community, with tributes pouring in from political leaders, colleagues and other stakeholders who described his passing as a painful loss to journalism and the country.
President Tinubu reportedly joined the growing list of mourners, acknowledging Oladipo’s contribution to journalism and his commitment to keeping Nigerians informed. The President extended his condolences to the journalist’s family, colleagues and friends, praying for strength for those he left behind.
Senate President Akpabio also expressed grief over the passing, while Governor Sanwo-Olu mourned Oladipo as a respected media professional whose work contributed to public discourse and the growth of journalism.
