VeryDarkMan Threatens to Disrupt Tyla’s Lagos Concert Over Xenophobia Outrage

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has intensified his opposition to South African singer Tyla’s planned concert in Lagos, warning organisers that the event would face strong resistance if it goes ahead.

Speaking in a video that has since gone viral, VeryDarkMan declared that he and his supporters were prepared to disrupt the concert, insisting they were ready to face any consequences for their actions. His comments come amid growing public outrage over renewed reports of xenophobic attacks against Nigerians living in South Africa.

Addressing the organisers, he said, “That Tyla show will NOT happen. To the organizers; if you try us, we will come there, disrupt it and face whatever consequences. Ratels have the numbers. If Nigerians want to see an entertainer in short skirts, we already have Ayra Starr.”

The remarks have sparked heated reactions on social media, with some Nigerians backing his stance as a show of solidarity with victims of the alleged attacks in South Africa, while others criticised the threat to disrupt a lawful event, arguing that entertainers should not be held responsible for diplomatic or political disputes between countries.
