Peter Obi Says Tinubu Lacks the Capacity to Tackle Insecurity in Nigeria.

Peter Obi has criticised the Federal Government’s handling of insecurity, arguing that blaming the opposition or global events for Nigeria’s security challenges does not address the real problem.

Speaking on the issue, Obi said tackling insecurity requires strong political will and decisive leadership. According to him, the government; not criminal groups must remain firmly in control, insisting that if he were in office, security would be his top priority.

He also questioned President Bola Tinubu’s response to recent security incidents, claiming that if dozens of children had been kidnapped, he would have immediately visited the affected community. Obi further revealed that Seyi Makinde told him the President had never called him regarding security matters.

Drawing a comparison with the past, Obi recalled that during the administration of the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, the former President regularly reached out to him after major security incidents, despite belonging to different political parties.
