United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has announced that its Chairman, Tony Elumelu, will step down on August 21, 2026, after reaching the maximum 12-year tenure allowed for non-executive directors under the Central Bank of Nigeria guidelines.
The bank made the announcement in a statement released on Monday, noting that the Board of Directors accepted Elumelu’s retirement during its meeting held on July 6, 2026.
