Tragic End for Retired Army Major in Kogi Despite ₦10M Ransom Payment

A retired Nigerian Army Major, Joe Ajayi, has been killed by kidnappers in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area, Kogi State, despite his family paying a ₦10 million ransom for his release.

How It Happened

🚨 Ajayi was abducted on May 21, 2025, from his residence in Odo-Ape, with gunmen storming his home and firing shots before taking him away.

🚨 His captors initially demanded ₦50 million, but later reduced it to ₦10 million when his health deteriorated due to lack of medication.

🚨 After receiving the ransom, the kidnappers directed his family to a location, where they tragically found his lifeless body.
