VIDEO: “Soon, Only APC Members Will Get Jobs, Admission In Nigeria” — Benue Lawmaker Declares

SHOCKING: “Soon, Only APC Members Will Get Jobs, Admission In Nigeria” — Benue Lawmaker Declares. A storm of controversy has erupted after a federal lawmaker from Benue State reportedly declared that very soon, only Nigerians who possess membership cards of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will be able to secure jobs, gain admission into schools, and access government opportunities. The lawmaker, Ojotu Ojema, who represents Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, made the statement while addressing members of the National Association of Agatu Students. He urged young people to join the APC and obtain membership cards if they want to benefit from government programs and opportunities.According to him, political alignment with the ruling party could soon determine access to employment, admission, and other life-changing opportunities. He warned that those who fail to identify with the APC risk being ignored when such opportunities arise. This development has raised serious concerns among Nigerians, as many fear it signals a dangerous shift toward political favoritism, where citizens’ rights and opportunities could depend on party loyalty rather than merit, qualification, or equal citizenship.Nigeria’s Constitution guarantees freedom of association and equal rights for all citizens, regardless of political affiliation. If opportunities like jobs and school admissions are tied to party membership, it would undermine democracy, fairness, and national unity. Many Nigerians are now asking critical questions:• Must citizens join a political party just to survive?• Will merit and qualification no longer matter?• Is Nigeria drifting toward a one-party system in practice? This statement has sparked debate nationwide, with citizens warning that public institutions belong to all Nigerians — not to any single political party.Nigeria is a democracy, not a party-controlled state. Every citizen deserves equal opportunity, regardless of whether they belong to APC, PDP, Labour Party, ADC, or any other political party. The big question now is: Will this remain political talk, or is it a glimpse into the future of opportunity in Nigeria?
