A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has issued a warrant for the arrest of Adeniyi Adeyemi, who allegedly presented himself as the Director-General of the purported Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), an organisation authorities say does not exist.
Justice Mohammed Umar ordered Adeyemi’s arrest after he failed to appear in court to take his plea in a criminal case filed against him by the Nigeria Police Force.
The defendant is facing an eight-count charge, including allegations of forgery, impersonation and other related offences. The case is expected to continue once he is apprehended and brought before the court.
